WOM & OXFAM 2022 “16 Days of Activism” Campaign

The 2022 “16 Days of Activism” march and public sensitization event supported by OXFAM Ghana took place today in the Nabdam District of the Upper East Region of Ghana.

This comes after our online propagation of paraphernalia to raise awareness about gender-based violence, challenge discriminatory attitudes and call for improved laws and services to end violence against women for good.

The WOM Team set out to spread the word on women’s issues through a float through street and settled at the Pelungu market to engage the public.

To encourage the involvement of all and sundry, quiz answerers were rewarded with packs of rice, oil, etc.

  11. What can the community/opinion leaders do to support the end of sexual and gender-based violence?
