Black Soap from Shea butter and Baobab Potash is the introduction to the soap-making industry.

The Widows and Orphans Movement (WOM) is finding new ways to economically empower women.
The cost of materials for making soap has shot up in recent times. Thus, the need to find indigenous ways for the women they have trained in soap making business.

19 selected women in the Upper East Region of Ghana, have been trained to make black soap using cheaper ingredients such as shea butter and baobab potash.

The training was organized with funding support from KGL Foundation.
